ABOUT US
Welcome to Circa 1856. Slow down.... take all the time you need. Wander over the 8-acres farmstead... meandor through the manicured gardens. Sit on the dock at the pond... watch the windmill spin in the breeze. Circa 1856 is so much more than "just" an event venue. We are the destination of country ambience and pure natural bliss.

Circa 1856 operates on one of the earliest farmsteads of La Porte, Indiana. The Replogle family established this farm in 1856. The farm has seen different families and many changes over the years, including the construction of the Machine Shed in 1880, the addition of the Big Red Barn in 1910 and The Pavillion in 2010. New owners, Tom and Dana Kutz are proud to continue the tradition of caring for this farmstead and enhancing the legacy of one of La Porte's founding families by showcasing the attention to detail in each structure and the lavishly manicured landscaping found throughout the property.
